35% of our neighbors in Inland Southern California do not have enough income to pay for the basics. In our community, it takes 3 adults, within the household, working full-time on minimum wage to pay for just the basics .  We believe that items such as food, housing and education are basic human rights and that no one should go without, especially in a community like ours that is full of resources.

If there was more equitable public policy that governs our state and region, and if our neighbors have more access to basic support including 211, short term direct assistance, and long-term programs (career coaching, higher education, housing and health access) we will thrive and help to co-create an extraordinary place to live, work and learn.

Why We Exist & Position Statement:

With our neighbors who seek to have a better life, Inland So Cal United Way & 211, a trusted and connected nonprofit, has resources for people to propel themselves.

Impact:

In the last year alone, we directly and positively impacted over 1,000,000 local lives through 211 services, direct housing supports, direct financial assistance and coaching, direct career services, mental health care, and enrollment in Cal Fresh and other benefit programs that make a significant difference in a family’s ability to thrive.
